Wine – Reds
Noceto Sangiovese
Plymouth, California (Amador County) Sangiovese, the noble winegrape of central Italy, is Italy’s most widely planted varietal. Noceto is a small, family-run vineyard and winery that brings this great varietal here to us in the Sierras. Their 2007 Sangiovese is a versatile food wine that exhibits cherry and cranberries, accented by a touch of spicy oak.
Jarvis Tomei Syrah
Camino, California (El Dorado County) Made just over the hills in Camino by our friends Jessica & Jeff, this High Sierra Syrah has magnificent color with notes of blackberry, chocolate, and mountain minerals. The high slopes at 3,000 feet allow for maximum sunlight to reach the grape clusters, creating a rich and complex flavor.
Apaltagua Pinot Noir
Chile (Curico Valley) Is there a better Pinot Noir out there? We couldn’t find one. Apaltagua’s Pinot Noir has a brilliant ruby color and emphasizes aromas of cherries, raspberries, and soft notes of oak. It boasts smooth and elegant tannins and a sophisticated finish.
Ken Forrester Cab/Merlot
South Africa (Stellenbosch) A youthful, fresh Bordeaux-styled blend showing ripe mulberries and plums with spicy cigar-box undertones. The perfect all-rounder that partners with most foods, this wine demonstrates why Ken Forrester has received so much international praise and accolades over the years.
Wine – Whites
Noceto Pinot Grigio
Plymouth, California (Amador County) Cool, Delta breezes preserve the high acids and fruity flavors during ripening of Noceto’s Pinot Grigio. This crisp, aromatic white wine goes toe-to-toe with anything from Italy, and is the perfect refreshing summer wine.
Apaltagua Chardonnay
Chile (Casablanca Valley) The Casablanca Valley is known for being the first valley in Chile to receive cold weather, making it ideal for the production of white wines. This Chardonnay has a golden color and is fresh and clean to the nose. It is characterized by notes of vanilla, cream and banana. In the mouth, it is crisp, dry and refreshing.
Peñalolen Sauvignon Blanc
Chile (Casablanca Valley) With this wine, Penalolen demonstrates how impressive Sauvignon Blanc can be when grown in the right place and guided by a talented winemaker. The use of pure, ripe fruit gives this wine a powerfully rich and complex flavor free from oak or residual sugar. The aromas of mandarin orange and fresh cut flowers, combined with good acidity, make this Sauvignon Blanc a classic partner for food.
Parés Baltà Brut Cava
Spain (Penedès) Since 1790, the family-owned winery of Pares Balta has produced some of the best Spanish wines you can find. This sparkling white wine is light and soft, with notes of pear and apple. It is certified organic, and makes a great mimosa!
